Never ignore record keeping of rabbitry

Many rabbit owners are hardly aware of this fact though it is vital. If you are a rabbit owner, you have to keep an authentic record of your rabbitry. Why is it necessary? This is an interesting question and any rabbit owner may get flummoxed if he/she is asked of this ever. It helps one to note what has happened, what needs to take place and what will be happening in his/her rabbitry. How can you proceed then? Well, you can make use of a good mixture of cage tags and computer software to monitor. Remember that lots of newly developed software can be helpful in this regard.

Now, as far as your family is concerned, you can employ each family member in this respect. Any monitoring of rabbitry is nothing but a family effort. Do you have kids? If you have, let them take care of feeding, watering, grooming & nail clipping day by day. Besides any aged female member (like your wife) can take care of cleaning of the cages and trays and the kids can be helpful in this context too. What should you do then? Well, you can take care of the financial aspects like expenses, savings and how much should be spent for better cares. You can also teach what to do at the time of breeding and can supervise.

None of this is an easy task and so you must have a positive frame of mind from the very beginning. On the other hand, it is not possible for anyone to do these things every day and the concept of keeping records may make you and your every activity more disciplined than ever before.

Is there the presence of a large number of rabbits in your residence? In that case cage tags are best to identify rabbits, kits and due dates. Try to use color tags along with computer print outs to discern each cage.

How do you feel now? Are you confused still? Go to the Internet and have a meticulous research. Lots of people across the word are doing the same. You can search and learn lots from them.
